About us
The original Forum building was built in 1908 by Joseph-Alphonse Christin. A covered oval-shaped roller-skating track wrapped around an exterior ice-skating rink. In 1923, the building was demolished to make way for the Montreal Forum, the home of the Montreal Maroons and the Montreal Canadiens, (1924-1996) the winners of 24 Stanley Cup Championships, and top venue for concerts such as The Beatles, Céline Dion and the Rolling Stones. Today, this building is known as the Montreal Forum, the city’s most diverse entertainment centre. The history runs through the building’s veins, and reminders of its storied past are yours to discover throughout the refurbished complex.
